Verda Lux Terms of Service

By using our website, booking a service, or entering one of our vehicles, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

Scope of Service

Verda Lux (Pty) Ltd provides premium chauffeur-driven transport services within South Africa, including private and corporate travel, airport transfers, long-distance journeys, and specialised bookings. All services are subject to vehicle availability, route safety, and confirmation by our team.

Minimum Notice: Certain bookings may require a minimum notice period. Please enquire at the time of booking.

Professional Standards

All Verda Lux drivers are professionally trained and vetted. While every effort is made to ensure a safe and seamless journey, Verda Lux is not liable for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances including traffic, road closures, weather events, mechanical failure, hijacking, or acts of God.

Drivers will always act in the best interest of passenger safety and may alter a route at their discretion in the event of a risk or emergency.

Liability for Personal Items

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. Verda Lux cannot be held liable for items left behind, lost, or damaged in the vehicle. While we will always attempt to return lost items where found, this is done as a courtesy and not a guarantee.

Vehicle Damage & Cleaning Fees

Any damage caused to a Verda Lux vehicle—either by negligence, abuse, or failure to follow driver instructions—will be assessed and charged to the client responsible.

A cleaning fee of R500 will be charged if the client, their guest, or their pet:

  • vomits in the vehicle,
  • leaves excessive dirt or dog hair requiring professional cleaning,
  • or otherwise soils the interior beyond normal use.

These costs may also be subject to additional insurance claims and applicable excesses.

Alcohol, Smoking & Behaviour

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all Verda Lux vehicles. Alcohol may only be consumed where permitted and with prior arrangement. Aggressive, disrespectful, or unlawful behaviour will result in immediate termination of service without refund.

Pets: Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. Owners are responsible for ensuring pets do not soil or damage the vehicle.

Luggage & Package Policy

Drivers will assist with the loading and unloading of luggage as a courtesy. Clients remain responsible for monitoring and ensuring all their belongings are loaded and unloaded correctly.

Verda Lux is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal or business-related items during transport. Luggage must fit within the vehicle’s designated capacity.

VIP Protective Services

Where VIP Protective Services are requested, these are coordinated via approved third-party providers who are fully licensed, POPIA-compliant, and carefully vetted. While we select partners with the highest standards, Verda Lux is not directly responsible for the actions or outcomes of third-party security teams.

Booking, Cancellations & Refunds

Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of payment or formal approval via our booking platform.

  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the pick-up time may incur a partial or full charge.

No-Show Policy: If the client does not appear at the designated pick-up location within a reasonable wait period, the booking will be considered a no-show and is non-refundable.

Limitation of Liability

Verda Lux will not be held responsible for:

  • Delays due to traffic, accidents, or road conditions
  • Force majeure events (e.g., weather, civil unrest, acts of God)
  • Lost or forgotten items
  • Indirect losses or missed appointments resulting from transport issues

Our obligation is limited to the transport service agreed upon at time of booking.

Acceptance of Terms

By continuing to use Verda Lux services, you confirm your understanding and agreement to these Terms of Service. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically, as they are subject to change without prior notice.
